Advanced team working on the Russian-Siberia Fuel oil spill is seeking US based research analyst and technical writer to assist with documentation, compilation, and research for our onsite teams in Norilsk, Russia. Our team is U.S. based, and English speaking. You will be working in Santa Clarita, CA, in a nice campus office setting. Restaurants and services nearby. This a great opportunity to work with on a project to clean our environment, and further you professional career.
JOB DUTIES
• Daily communications with field personnel to receive and compile all data concerning the clean-up effort.
• Compile and analyze soil and water contaminant data, river and estuary flow charts, GIS mapping, and environmental impacts.
• Compile and write technical procedure manuals based on verbal instruction and online research, and professional outreach.
• Research service professionals, suppliers, logistics and cost analysis, based on requests from field engineers, for needed services.
• Document all correspondence, photos, data, and imagery into a project paper, which you and other will be completing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 4-year degree in any of the following; Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Geology, Biology.
• 2-3 years’ experience working as an intern or in a paid administrative capacity.
• Proven capability for technical writing.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
• Working knowledge of creating Gantt flow charts.
• Variable working hours depending on onsite team schedules. You may be required to attend an online Zoom meeting at 8:00 PM from your home.
• Highly detailed and analytical. Ability to work independently without supervision. High level of online research.
• Personable, outgoing, and capable of talking/ collaborating with people around the world.
COMPENSATION
• $25-$50.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
• Part-time/Full-time positions depending on schedules, expertise, and/or availability.
